Cardenal Mendoza: the most famous Spanish Brandy. More than 15 years of age.
For over a century, Brandy Cardenal Mendoza is one of the most famous in the world. Its name comes from Cardinal Pedro Gonzalez de Mendoza (1423-1495) favored both Christopher Columbus on his first voyage of discovery of the New World. Obtained from native grape Airen and produced through a slow distillation in copper pot stills, the Spanish Cardenal Mendoza Brandy ages for more than 15 years in barrels that have contained Sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. Brandy de Jerez Solera category Gran Reserva - the top of the Spanish production, is still produced in limited quantities, like a century ago. Even today, each bottle is sealed with the hand before being packaged. Distributed on five continents, Cardinal Mendoza is the official supplier of the Royal House of Spain, the House of Lords in England and the Vatican City.

This unique Spanish brandy is aged, like a sherry, in a solera made from casks that previously held fine Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherries, imparting an incredible richness and complexity to the spirit.
